Dr. Jason Gardenier is a double board-certified Harvard-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face, breasts, and body. He practices at New England Cosmetic Surgery in Portland, Maine, where he has built a reputation for delivering natural-looking results and exceptional patient care.
Dr. Gardenier completed his undergraduate education at The College of William and Mary, graduating summa cum laude in 2007. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia in 2011, where he distinguished himself academically and through his commitment to plastic surgery research. He then completed his general surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital—Weill Cornell, one of New York City's premier medical institutions, serving as senior chief resident during his final year.
Driven by his passion for plastic surgery, Dr. Gardenier completed a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the laboratory of Dr. Babak Mehrara from 2013-2015. His research was funded by multiple grants from the Plastic Surgery Foundation and resulted in publications in leading scientific journals, including breakthrough treatments for cancer survivors. He also completed a specialized fellowship in burn surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital, gaining expertise in the care and reconstruction of severely burned patients.
