Biography
Dr. Dev Vibhakar is a double board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who serves as the founder and medical director of Aqua Plastic Surgery in Miami. Warmly referred to as "Dr. Dev," he stands out as a young, eclectic, and energetic plastic surgeon whose career was inspired by a personal experience as a patient at age 16, when a traumatic motor vehicle accident led him to be treated by a plastic surgeon who reconstructed his severely injured eye.
Dr. Vibhakar made his debut as a physician in osteopathic medicine in 2006, graduating from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Guided by the philosophy that structure and function are interrelated, he pursued the path of mastering bodily structure by becoming a surgeon. He completed his general surgery training and is board-certified in General Surgery, training that allowed him to develop skills to work meticulously under urgency and pressure.
From 2012-2015, Dr. Vibhakar trained as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Resident at Temple University Hospital, learning from top surgeons in Philadelphia. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in Adult Facial Aesthetics and Reconstructive Surgery at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital, where he trained under the guidance of renowned faculty. Under the mentorship of Dr. Yaremchuk, he learned from the pioneer in facial implants and craniofacial reconstruction, mastering the art of form and function.
Dr. Vibhakar specializes in breast implant removal surgery, body contouring, facial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, and has developed expertise in facial implants and craniofacial reconstruction. He has published several peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters on topics including breast surgery, reconstructive surgery, facial sculpting, nasal contouring, and burns. He has contributed to medical textbooks, including "Comprehensive Rhinoplasty: Structural and Preservation Concepts."
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Vibhakar participates in conferences such as "The Cutting Edge" and "Oculoplastics and Breast Symposium" to stay current with the latest techniques and technologies. He is involved in humanitarian missions, having received scholarships to complete a Microsurgery Cancer Reconstruction mission trip to Nepal in 2014 and serving as a Regan Scholar with Operation Smile.
Dr. Vibhakar has over 19 years of experience and maintains affiliations with HCA Florida JFK North Hospital and Saint Mary's Medical Center. He provides telehealth services and is accepting new patients. Known for his compassionate nature, sense of humor, and attentiveness to patient needs, Dr. Vibhakar has earned a perfect 5.0/5 patient rating and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
